Shopping in India has immensely evolved over the last couple of decades. Indian shoppers have gone from open-air ‘haats’ to sophisticated, air-conditioned malls. The retail sector of India has evolved to embrace shopping malls and this has given rise to the mall culture. One of the reasons that shopping malls are preferred by the public over iconic markets in India is that they offer much more than just shopping. Not only the number of malls but also their design, quality and size have improved. This is one of the prime reasons that premium brands are now housed in some of the best malls in India.
